The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ariwoola, will on 10th July 2024 swear in the wife of the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Eberechi Wike, and 21 other judges appointed to the Court of Appeal. The ceremony will take place at 10:00 am in the Main Courtroom of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Information & Public Relations at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Dr. Akande Festus, it was revealed that Justice Ariwoola will also swear in 12 new Judges for the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as the CJN’s daughter-in-law, Ariwoola Oluwakemi Victoria is among the 12 judges to be sworn.

A multi-million naira project, Zungeru Hydro Electricity Dam in Niger State was hits by explosion on Monday. The Federal Government hydro dam, still under construction and yet to be commissioned is the fourth hydroelectric dam in Niger State after Jebba, Kainji, and Shiroro. The cause of the explosion which occurred early Monday is yet to be known, leaving several workers with various degrees of injuries.
