The Osun State Government has suspended its 24-hour curfew earlier declared to tackle the breakdown of law and order occasioned by the #EndSARS protests. Governor Gboyega Oyetola in a statement titled, ‘Governor Oyetola suspends 24-hour curfew’, the Government of the State of Osun notes the high level of compliance with the 24-hour curfew earlier declared to forestall breakdown of law and order. The statement reads in part: “We commend the residents and citizens of Osun for their show of understanding and cooperation in the last 48 hours of the curfew.

The highest socio-cultural body of the Igbo tribe, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Yesterday Thursday, October 22, denounced the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, saying that his recent frenzy was merely targeted at exacerbating discord in the nation and also to soil the age-long cordial relationship that has been existing between the Igbo and the Yoruba. The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission has yesterday reacted over the continued widespread violence staged by the protesting youth in Nigeria over prolonged police brutality.

Tukur Buratai against the deployment of the military to go after the #EndSARS protesters in order to avoid a bloody clash.
