Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen yesterday attacked a maternity hospital in Nkpologwu, Agusta Local Government Area of Anambra state, where they whisked away four newborn babies. The locals were left in confusion as the reason for taking babies in a cradle does not only appear wired and strange but also a new trend in the area. Though the detail of the incident at the time of filling in this report was still sketchy, a source confirmed that the incident happened late evening on Tuesday, but was made public yesterday.

The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Gen. The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has revealed the disentanglement of three victims from their abductors, following the attack and abduction of some individuals by suspected bandits in Arab Road Extension 2, Kubwa district of Abuja in the late hours of 6th December 2022.
FCT Police spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh, who confirmed these in a statement on Wednesday, said: “Preliminary investigations however revealed that at about 1930hrs (7:30 pm) of December 6, 2022, some armed criminals came into the Kubwa Relocation Estate, shot two victims, one Oshodi and another Abdulwahab (both other names unknown).
