The National University Commission (NUC) has released its latest ranking of all public and Private Universities in Nigeria. The ranking which was made available to Vigil360 indicates that out of over hundred ranked universities in Nigeria, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria was ranked first before other reputable Universities like Ibadan and Lagos.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned prospective candidates for the 2018 UTME to be wary of fake past questions in CDs being circulated in the country. The board made the call in a statement, signed by Mr Fabian Benjamin, the Head of Media, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Tuesday in Abuja.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board said it has begun registration for the 2018 unified tertiary matriculation examinations (UTME ) registration.

JAMB said the registration would take place in over 700 computer based test (CBT) centres in 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The organization’s Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, made the announcement in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

Students of all state-owned tertiary institutions across Osun state went on rampage on Monday to protest an alleged hike in the school fees by the government and the management of the institutions.

The students who trooped out in large numbers moved from the popular Olaiya busstop to the state Secretariat, Abeere where they blocked vehicular movement in and out of the premises.

Three of the students however, sustained injuries when the police attempted to disperse them by throwing tear gas in their direction.
