The Kaduna State government has issued fresh conditions that must be met before it facilitates the release of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky following the subsisting court order.

The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NHSA) on Wednesday, 7th August 2019 warned Nigerians to prepare for more floods following high rainfall intensity of long duration in the country. The warning is contained in a press briefing issued by the Director-General of the agency, Mr Clement Nze.

Members of Pan-Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, has called on the Federal Government to release the Convener of ‘Revolution Now’ movement, Mr. Omoyele Sowore, and other Nigerians arrested during the August 5 protest.

The Arewa Youth Federation has distanced itself from the call for revolution, advising youth from the region against making themselves available to be used by enemies of the state.
