The Federal Government of Nigeria has resolved to end the menace of the Almajiri children roaming streets across the country; by prescribing the practice in collaboration with State governments and all other relevant stakeholders. The development was premised to the rising cases of multi-faceted security challenges in the country.

Following successes in its operation nationwide, Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has said that crime rate in the country is on the decline. The Police boss premised the claims on the enhancement of the institutional capacity of the police.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, 1oth June 2019 welcomed the support of the Italian government to help recover and repatriate illegally deposited Nigerian stolen funds in foreign countries. The President made the assertion when he received a delegation from the Italian Parliament led by Senator Vito Petrocelli, Chairman Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs at State House, Abuja.
