The Nigeria Police Force said it would arraign Sen. Dino Melaye and the four suspects rearrested for alleged conspiracy and unlawful possession of prohibited firearms at the Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi on May 10.

The suspects are: Kabiru Seidu, 31, alias Osama, Nuhu Salisu, 25, alias small, Musa Mohammed, 27, alias Iko and Emmanuel Audu, 26.

The Police Command in Kogi had on March 28, announced the escape from lawful custody of six suspects including Seidu and Salisu. Four of the six suspects were re-arrested on March 30, according to the Police.

The Nigeria Customs Service on Tuesday approved the introduction of a new uniform to complement the existing ones currently in use.

The Public Relations Officers of the Service, DC, Joseph Attah who made this known in a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja said the additional uniform was intended to give officers variety of uniforms that can be worn depending on the weather and assignment to be executed.

The Senate has developed and is set to initiate two draft bills for legislation to tackle the menace of drug abuse in the country, especially among youth.

The bills are coming as the outcome of the roundtable convened by the President of the Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, in December 2017 in Kano on the rising spate of drug abuse in the country,

The proposed bills are: National Drug Control Bill and National Mental Health Bill.

Playboy has decided to suspend all activity on Facebook in response to the data sharing scandal engulfing the social media giant. According to CNBC, the adult publication said Wednesday that it would be exiting the social network and deactivating each of its accounts. Cooper Hefner, Playboy's chief creative officer and son of the late Hugh Hefner, called Facebook "sexually repressive" on Twitter, and said its content and policy guidelines "continue contradicting our values."
