The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP) has on Monday commenced a 14-day warning strike action with effect from January 4, 2021, following alleged neglect of their demands by the Federal Government. The strike directive was conveyed in a release signed by the Acting National Secretary of SSANIP, Comrade Emmanuel Enyiegor in Calabar, Cross River State. The association also demands the government to constitute Governing Councils in Federal and State Polytechnics. The release reads “This is to bring to the attention of all the members that the General Executive Council had on December 17, 2020, approved the commencement of 14-day warning strike with effect from January 4.
