Senator Stella Oduah has debunked media reports that she has perfected plans to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA). Sen. Oduah who represents Anambra North Senatorial District in the Red Chamber told newsmen on Monday in Abuja that the report was fabricated by detractors with hidden agenda.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied being fully involved in the selection process of President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent board appointments. National Chairman of the party, Mr John Oyegun, told reporters on Sunday in Abuja that the APC was involved in the early stage of the process but not consulted before the final list was released.

El-Rufai, Murray-Bruce Trade Words Over Buhari’s Train Ride
President Muhammadu Buhari had a train ride on Thursday shortly after he inaugurated two additional locomotives and 10 additional passenger coaches for the Abuja-Kaduna rail service in Abuja.
President Buhari was joined on the ride by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasri El-Rufai, and the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, as well as some government officials.
The development, however, took a different turn between Governor El-Rufai and the senator representing Bayelsa East senatorial district, Ben Murray-Bruce.
PDP Sweeps Delta Council Polls
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday in Asaba won 23 out of the 25 local government areas of Delta in Saturday’s council elections across the state.
Chairman of Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC), Mr Mike Ogbodu, gave the details when he announced the results on Sunday in Asaba.
He said that PDP won the chairmanship elections in 23 local government areas.
According to him, elections have been postponed in Ethiope East and Ughelli North areas due to reports of violence which has resulted in the burning of the DSIEC office in Ughelli.
He said elections in the two council areas would be held on Jan. 9, 2018.
