2023 Election: Obi Petition Tinubu Before The Tribunal
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi has on Tuesday, March 21 filed his petitions to the presidential elections tribunal to challenge Bola Tinubu’s of the All Progressives Congress, APC, victory in the February 25 presidential election. The LP, presidential candidate has alleged that the election was characterised by various irregularities including the non-qualification of Mr Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima to contest the election. He continued by urging the court to either declare him the president-elect or nullify the entire election and conduct a fresh one.

INEC Declares Abba Kabir Of NNPP As Governor Elect Kano
The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has been declared the winner of the just concluded gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections conducted over the weekend. The NNPP candidate was declared the winner with 1,019,602 votes against his closest rival, APC’s candidate, Nasir Gawuna, who polled 890,705 votes, defeating Nasir with over 100,000 votes. The result was announced on 20th March 2023, by the Independent National Electoral Commission Returning officer, Prof. Ahmed Doko Ibrahim.
Supplementary Elections Will Not Hold Tomorrow - INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that the Presidential and National Assembly supplementary elections will not hold tomorrow. The commission via a press release stated that only the governorship, state house of assembly, and previously suspended elections for Enugu East Senatorial District and Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency in Edo State would be held tomorrow, Saturday 17th of March 2023.
Buhari Reappoints Seven ICPC Board Members
President Muhammadu Buhari has on 15th March 2023, sworn in seven reappointed board members of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), before the commencement of the week's Federal Executive Council meeting at the council chamber of the State House, Abuja. The renewed tenure is expected to elapse in March 20227. All seven board members were first inaugurated in 2019 by Buhari. The members include Justice Adamu Bello (retd.), Katsina State; Hannatu Mohammed (Jigwa State); Olubukola Balogun (Lagos State); Obiora Igwedibia (Anambra State); Dr. Abdullahi Saidu (Niger State); Yahaya Dauda (Nasarawa State) and Grace Chinda (Rivers State).
