One of the major satellite television service in Sub-Saharan Africa, Multichoice, has announced an increase in prices of its packages on DSTV and GOtv.

In the company’s latest release titled ‘Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages’, on Wednesday, said the increase was necessitated by the rise in the cost of business operations.

According to the statement signed by its Chief Executive Officer, John Ugbe, the increment would take effect on May 1, 2024.

“We understand the impact this change may have on you our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations, has led us to make this difficult decision.”

Checks on the company’s reviewed price as at December 2023 during the last upward review revealed a 20 per cent per cent hike in the company’s packages across the board.
