Barely one week after Boko Haram released three University of Maiduguri lecturers earlier abducted during an oil exploration exercise in the state, a suicide bomber on Monday evening struck close to one of the hotels in the University. According to the Cable, the attack took place around 7:50pm.

No fewer than 22 persons were killed and 28 others injured in a multiple suicide bomb attack at a market in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the incident occurred on Friday at about 9:00 PM, when three suicide bombers detonated explosives at the “Kasuwar Kifi” in the outskirts of Konduga town.

Some suspected herdsmen on Thursday butchered a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police, identified as Daniel Malu in Jos, Plateau state. Malu, 58, whose last office was ‘A’ Division in Jos, was killed in his Dorowa residence, in the Jos South Local Government Area of the state.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says the much anticipated conduct of the 2018 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will hold on Feb. 26.

JAMB’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lagos.
