Amotekun: NANS Appeals To FG, Says Security Initiative Should Not Be Allowed To Die

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on Wednesday appealed to the Federal Government not to allow politics and interest of some individuals frustrate the recently established Western Nigeria Security Network, code named Amotekun. The Outfit was set up by the six Southwest States to combat crimes in the region.

The Supreme Court, on Tuesday, sacked Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State. The apex court, in a unanimous judgement by a seven-man panel of justices that was led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad, held that Ihedioha who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was not duly elected.
