The Former Vice President, Ach. Namadi Sambo just came off a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday afternoon at Villa, refusing to give out any detail.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was also at the meeting

Arch. Sambo was the Vice President during Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure as President from 2011- 2015.

On June 28, 2017, Operatives of the State Security Service, SSS, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC, raided the former Vice President’s home in Kaduna following a lead by a ‘whistle blower.’

Sambo had then accused the security agencies of ‘desperation’, claiming his residence had been raided four times in the six months leading to the June 2017 raid.

Subsequently, after the lead on the raid was alleged to be false, the whistle blower identified as Abubakar Sani Chindo, was arraigned at a Kaduna High Court for allegedly providing false information.

The Presidency has since denied any involvement in the raids, with a top presidency source insisting that the Buhari administration does not dictate to anti-corruption agencies on how to go about their operations.
