Former Media Director for Goodluck Jonathan Campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode, had earlier denied any link between the PDP and Cambridge Analytica.

Fani-Kayode on Channels Television programme, Sunday Politics said the PDP was not involved in hacking information during 2015 election and did not involve in digging into personal information of its opponents.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has commenced an investigation into allegations that a United Kingdom-based firm, Cambridge Analytica interfered into the 2015 elections.

An ex-employee of the firm, Christopher Wylie, has alleged that the firm employed hackers to dig ‘dirty’ information about President Muhammadu Buhari who was a candidate of the then opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

Wylie, who served as a whistle-blower alleged that a Nigerian billionaire and supporter of the then President Goodluck Jonathan paid £2million to Cambridge Analytica for its services which include hacking into the medical records of Buhari. He described the billionaire as a Nigerian businessman who wanted to ensure former President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election.

Former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu has admitted that he helped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rig elections in the past.

Mantu made the confession during an interview on Channels Television’s programme, Hard Copy.

The National Coordinator of the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) has warned contestants for political office to desist from juxtaposing their photos with the photo of President Muhammadu Buhari on their campaign posters.

Alhaji Danlafi Garba Pasali, frowned at the enduring trend of such contestants printing their campaign posters and the president’s photos juxtaposed suggesting that the contestants possess similar character with Buhari.

A former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Olisa Metuh, has denied collecting money from the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.

Metuh, who is standing trial for allegedly diverting N400 million from the former National Security Adviser, made this denial on Sunday, during an interview on Channels Television Programme, Politics Today.

He said during the interview that he has never been to the office of the NSA and has no relationship with him.

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has said the current administration would continue to talk about the corruption and mismanagement of the nation's resources by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in order to make Nigerians realize the level of damage the party inflicted on them.

Bola Tinubu, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says President Muhammadu Buhari has saved the ruling party from “serious legal turmoil”.

Describing the extension of the tenure of the national working committee (NWC) of the party led by John Oyegun as illegal, Tinubu commended Buhari.

At the national executive committee meeting of the ruling party on Tuesday, Buhari kicked against Oyegun’s tenure elongation.
