Emmanuel Ugochukwu, a stowaway on Med-view Lagos -London Flight has been arrested and returned to Lagos after surviving the incident. Dailytrust reports that Ugochukwu managed to place himself between the front wheels of the aircraft from Lagos to London on Saturday and survived the six-hour flight at an altitude of 32, 000 feet above sea level.


The spokesman of the airlines, Chief Oyibotha Obuke was quoted as saying investigation into the incident by relevant agencies has commenced. This development adds to the increasing cases of stowaway in the country.


Recall that a teenager identified as Daniel Ihekina had hid himself in an Arik Aircraft from Benin to Lagos in 2013.


Months after, one Sunday Ogundeyi, a suspected stowaway was arrested in the tyre compartment of an aircraft at the private generation aviation terminal, Execujet within the Lagos Airport.


Similarly, in November 2016, a deceased stowaway was discovered on an Arik Air Flight A330-200 at the Oliver Tambo Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa. The aircraft had departed the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
