The Tin-Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) says it has generated about N130bn between January and June, 2017. The Public Relation Officer of the Command, Uche Ejesieme stated this on Wednesday in a revenue chart made available to journalists on Tuesday in Lagos.


The breakdown of the chart indicated that the Command recorded N19.83 billion in January; N21 billion in February; N20.95 billion in March and N20.31 billion in April. The chart further hinted that in May and June, the command collected N23.87 billion and N23.97 billion respectively.


The Command's PRO disclosed that the huge revenue was possible because of the "Formation's command’s zero tolerance for false declaration or other infractions." He also attributed to feat to welfare packages put in place by management of the Service
