The Nigerian Stock Exchange has sustained its growth for the second day this week. The exchange which began in the week on the negative rose by 0.93 per cent on Thursday. Market capitalisation opened at 12,101trillion Naira closed at the end of Thursday’s trading at 12,213 trillion Naira, gaining ‘0.93 per cent’.

The All Share Index which had after Tuesday’s activities, fallen to 34 basis points range, also gained by 0.93 per cent to close on Thursday at 35,429.31 basis points after opening today’s transaction at 35,103.40 basis points. Investors traded about 346 million shares worth 3.99billion Naira in 3,066 deals.

 

A total of 20 stocks appreciated, 23 depreciated, while all others closed with prices unchanged.

 

Gainers

FIDSON HEALTHCARE PLC which opened at N3.24 per share, closed at N3.57 per share, gaining 0.33 kobo or 10.19 per cent. Then B.O.C. GASES PLC opened Thursday’s trading at N3.60 and closed at N3.78 per share, gaining 0.18 kobo or 5.00 per cent.

While C & I LEASING PLC opened at N1.45 per share and closed at N1.52 per share, gaining 0.07 kobo or 4.83 per cent.

 

Losers

NASCON ALLIED INDUSTRIES PLC closed Wednesday’s trading at N13.10 per share and closed Thursday at N12.02 per share, depreciating by N1.08 or 8.24 per cent.

CEMENT CO. OF NORTH.NIG. PLC closed Wednesday at N8.80 per share and closed Thursday at N8.36 per share, falling by 0.44 kobo or 5.00 per cent.

Then MRS OIL NIGERIA PLC which closed at N33.66 per share Wednesday, closed Thursday at N31.98 per share, losing N1.68 per share or 4.99 per cent.
