Nigeria has been ranked the second worst country in power supply by Spectator Index of the world’s worst electricity supply in 2017. The report which was published on the organization's verified twitter handle @spectatorindex on Monday followed the recent drop of power by 3, 851 megawatts as well as the recent collapse of the transmission system occasioned by the destruction of gas pipelines by fire.
The report claimed that about 137 countries were examined during the survey stressing that Yemen ranked the worst electricity supply nations in 2017 followed by Nigeria, Haiti, Lebanon and Malawi.
Other countries in Africa including South Africa and Algeria ranked 41st, and 45th positions respectively.
Meanwhile, the Advisory Power Team has disclosed that the power situation is gradually stabilizing following the repairs carried out on the damaged gas pipelines earlier destroyed by inferno.
