Nigeria’s representative to this year’s Miss World beauty pageant, Ugochi Ihezue, has made it to the top 40.

Ihezue won the Fast Track Model Challenge, which automatically advances her to the top 40.

The Nigerian beauty queen is expected to walk the stage with other qualifiers on November 18th, 2017, during the finals of the competition which will be televised live.

Ihezue is bidding to follow in the footstep of fellow compatriot, Agbani Darego, who won the competition in 2001 as the first black woman to wear the crown.
