Lagos Police Releases Tekno On Bail

Popular Nigerian singer, songwriter and Chief Executive Officer of Cartel, Augustine Kelechi also known as Tekno was on Tuesday arrested by the Lagos State Police Command over alleged breach of Public Decency Act with an outdoor advertising displaying semi-nude women.

Charly Boy To Features Falz In New Single

Nigerian entertainer and activist, Charles Oputa, A.K.A (Charlyboy), is set to release a hit single featuring rapper Folarin Falana, popularly addressed by his stage name Falz. The 68-year-old activist, who released his debut high-life album over three decades ago, hinted in an interview to the News Agency of Nigeria that the ‘collabo’ was underway.

Nigeria’s TV Show: VSKIT Partners Star Times

Short video sharing platform, VSKIT has disclosed that it would partner with Digital cable TV, StarTimes, to host the maiden edition of 'Voice to Fame,’ a dubbing competition in Nigeria. The program is set to hit television airwaves on Sunday, 28th July 2019.
The show will see eight contestants competing against celebrities, for a chance to win a grand prize of N2 million. The Voice to Fame show will feature the re-enactment of classic movies and TV plays, Rap battles and lip-sync according to dialogues taken from clips of movies and TV shows with a focus on vocal delivery and demonstrative facial expressions.

Netflix Acquires Kunle Afolayan’s Movie “MOKALIK”, Others

American media streaming service provider, Netflix has acquired ‘Mokalik’, an all Yoruba movie produced by Popular Nigerian Director and Producer, Kunle Afolayan.
Mr. Afolayan made the disclosure on Wednesday at the French-Nigerian Cinema Days at the Alliance Francaise in Ikoyi, Lagos, saying Netflix also acquired some of his other films.
