Peter Okoye of Psquare has berated the Federal Government for attempting to ban the production of music videos and movies outside the country. Mr. P who made his position known via his Twitter handle @peterpsquare stated that Nigerian governments from 1960 have all failed the people and projected the country negatively. He maintained that Nigerian entertainers were the ones working assiduously to positively rewrite the nation's ugly history.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed had on Sunday tweeted that “If you shoot your musical videos outside Nigeria you will be prosecuted. Shoot all your videos in Nigeria we have good locations.”
His tweet has continued to elicit mixed reactions from stakeholders in the movie and music industry.
