All 26 Abducted FRSC Operatives Finally Regain Freedom

The executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule on Tuesday disclosed that the remaining operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who were allegedly kidnapped by suspected bandits in the State had been freed. The 26 officers were traveling for training at the FRSC’s Academy at Udi in Enugu State when they were abducted by suspected bandits.

Nigerian Army Commander Killed In Boko Haram Ambush

Colonel DC Bako, the Commander of 25 Task Force Brigade of Operation Lafiya Dole in Borno State has been killed by Boko Haram Terrorists. The commander died in a military hospital where he was receiving treatment after sustaining injuries in combat with the insurgents in an ambush around Damboa in the Southern Borno axis. President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the Nigeria Police Bill 2020 into law. This was disclosed on Thursday by The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina in a statement entitled “President Buhari asserts to Police Bill, 2020”. Mr. Adesina said the President communicated his assent to the Bill to the National Assembly through the Clerk of the legislature in a memo dated September 16, 2020. The statement read, “The Act repeals the Police Act Cap. P19. Laws of the Federation, 2004, and provides for a more effective and well organized Police Force, driven by the principles of transparency and accountability in its operations and management of its resources.
