Gunmen Invade Benue Community, Kill Scores
Suspected bandits attacked a community opposite the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp at Abagena, Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue in the late hours of 19th January 2023, killing scores. An eyewitness in the community revealed that the attack which took place at about 2100hrs claimed the lives of eight persons, including women and children, as well as scores of persons seriously wounded. “Some of the victims were beheaded and their heads were taken away.
