Gunmen On Rampage In Kaduna

Armed men suspected to be kidnappers has launched their attack on Bethel Secondary School, Maramara in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State earlier today where scores of students were kidnapped. It was reported that gunmen stormed the school premises at about 1 am the early hour of Monday while shooting sporadically as they made away with unspecific students.

Army Chief Appoints New GOCs, PSOs In Major Shake-up

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Faruk Yahaya has approved the appointment of Principal Staff Officers (PSOs), Field Commanders and other key staff in a major shake-up. Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations made the disclosure on Saturday, saying the posting was aimed at reshuffling the army leadership for efficient command and administration.

FG Promises Fair Trial Of Nnamdi Kanu

The Federal Government has assured that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, will not be denied a fair trial. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, made this disclosure during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday after the re-arrest of the IPOB leader. The Minister informed that Kanu was re-arrested through efforts of Nigerian security and intelligence agencies who collaborated with some countries he failed to mention.

FG Announces Partial Closure Of Eko Bridge

The Federal Government has made known on Friday the partial shutting down of the Ijora ramp of Eko Bridge to enable rehabilitation of the road expansion. This was revealed by the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukayode Popoola, noting that the Ijora bridge must be shut in order to replace the expansion where traffic merged. He also stated that the construction project would be delivered ahead of the scheduled date which is on the 3rd of August 2021.
