Lamido Sanusi - Emir of Kano

The Kano state Government has called-off ongoing investigation of Muhammad Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano. This followed intervention of the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar (rtd), the Sultan of Sokoto and some Northern governors.

Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has begun a fresh clampdown on associates of the embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Retired Col. Sambo Dasuki . The anti-graft agency has seized 18 houses in an estate allegedly belonging to Alhaji Aliyu Usman, an associate of the former NSA.

Ali Modu Sheriff

The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed an application filled by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff praying the Court not to entertain an appeal filed by Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee of the party challenging the declaration of his Caretaker Committee as illegal by an Appeal Court sitting in Port-Harcourt.

Acting President - Yemi Osibajo

The 2017 budget, recently passed into law by the National Assembly has been transmitted to the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for assent. The Senior Special Assistant to the Acting president, Laolu Akande made this disclosure on Friday via his twitter handle, @akandeoj.
