Bulkachwa Cancels Vacation For Appeal Court Judges

President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, has cancelled this year's annual vacation of judges of the court. In a statement on Sunday, the media officer of the Court of Appeal, Sa’adatu Musa-Kachalla, said the cancellation of the vacation of appellate court judges was due to “the enormous (election) petitions the court is faced with.”

Appeal Court Upholds Suit Challenging Buhari’s Academic Qualification

The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal on Friday dismissed an appeal challenging the academic qualification of President Muhammadu Buhari to contest the 2019 presidential election.
Delivering judgment, a three-man panel of the court led by Justice Tinuade Akomolafe Wilson in a unanimous judgment affirmed the earlier verdict of the Federal High Court in Abuja which had dismissed the suit on the grounds that it was statute-barred and robbed the court of jurisdiction to entertain the suit.
