The President, Muhammadu Buhari is set to return to the country after a follow-up medical trip to the United Kingdom. According to Dailytrust, State House staff, especially domestic aides of the first family have all been placed on standby to receive the President. The report hinted that security aides of the Wife of the President and other family members who had been in London returned to the country yesterday, preparatory for the return of the President and his Wife.

The report quoted a source in the Presidency as saying "information just reached me now from the wife of the president that everything is set for the return of Mr President to Nigeria. Already, some of the president’s family members and security aides of Madam (Aisha Buhari) have just returned from London".

“The wife of the president may either leave London on Wednesday or decide to come home with the president anytime soon. We have been told to be on standby because Mr President is returning anytime soon this week”.

Efforts by Vigil360 to confirm the report revealed that security operatives in the Villa have all received fresh briefs from their team leaders on the possible return of the President any moment from now. The operatives, however, expressed frustration over the perceived refusal of their leaders to state the exact date of his return. They disclosed that activities are gradually coming alive in the Villa since yesterday.

Recall that the President travelled to London on May 7 for a follow-up medical trip after transmitting a letter to the National Assembly. In his absence, the vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has continued to "coordinate" the affairs of government.
