The Presidency has faulted rumour emanating from some pedlars of fake news that the Federal Government was accommodating the repentant Boko Haram element into the military. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu revealed this, saying none of the 601 repentant terrorist elements who were recently deradicalized has been integrated into the Nigerian Military.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has in accordance with the instruction of the Supreme Court presented the certificate of return to PDP's governor-elect for Bayelsa state DouyeDiri. Governor Diri's deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo was also presented his certificate of return.
De-Registration Of Parties: IPAC Calls For Immediate Reversal Of Decision
The Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) on Thursday evening berated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for deregistering 74 political parties.IPAC in a statement signed by its National Legal Adviser, Mr Ezeobika Chukwudi, in Abuja, called on INEC to immediately reverse its decision on the de-registration. He emphasized that the decision of INEC was an indignity on the judiciary and a conscious disregard for the rule of law.
Election: Tinubu Warns Nigerian Politicians
The national leader of the Ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has warned against undue vilification of the Judiciary especially by politicians who lost their election petitions and appeals. Tinubu issued the warning on Monday while speaking to newsmen after the valedictory court session at the Supreme Court, in honour of Justice Amiru Sanusi, who retired after clocking 70.

Ihedioha Officially Seeks Supreme Court's Review Of Its Judgment
Former Governor of Imo State, Rt. Honourable Emeka Ihedioha on Wednesday formally approached the Supreme Court of Nigeria, led by Justice Tanko Muhammed to review a Judgement delivered against him and his party the People’s Democratic Party, PDP last month. The apex court had sacked Ihedioha, declaring the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Hope Uzodinma the authentic winner of the elections.
Insecurity: Presidency, National Assembly Set Up Security C'ttee
Following a crucial meeting between the President and the leadership of the National Assembly at the Presidential Villa, the Federal Government said it has resolved to constitute a security committee to periodically review the issue of security across the country. The meeting was attended by the Senate President Ahmad Lawan and House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila.
