Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the emergence of deputy governor of Ekiti State, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, following the successful conduct of primary on Tuesday. The Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Olusola had polled 1, 191 votes to defeat his only rival, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Prince Dayo Adeyeye who got 770 votes.


Speaking on the matter, Atiku in a series of tweets on his verifies handle congratulated the party on the successful conduct of the exercise and urged other candidates to rally round the guber candidate to ensure victory at the election.


”I wish to congratulate our great party, @OfficialPDPNig on the very peaceful, free and fair primaries just held in Ekiti.


”I urge all others to rally round our gubernatorial candidate to win the July election.”
