Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr has disclosed that players and officials of the senior national team of Nigeria gave a share of the bonus they got for beating Zambia 1-0 to goalkeeper Carl Ikeme who is presently down with acute Leukaemia.

According to Rohr, the goalkeeper put Nigeria on a sound footing to qualify for the World Cup with his heroics in their first game away to Zambia in Ndola which the Eagles won 1- 2.

Rohr said he also has plan to visit the shot stopper to thank him for helping the team, particularly in their first game, where according to the manager the big saves he made on the day saved Nigeria from defeat.

“At first don’t forget him, you win you have a bonus everybody gave his part to Carl he was very happy ‎, the next idea I have is to go and see him to say thanks for what you did in the first game against Zambia”
