One of Nigeria’s Group D foes at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Croatia, will play a friendly match against five-time world champions Brazil ahead of the finals, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

According to a report in Croatia online outlet, Novilist.hr, a date and venue are yet to be fixed for the game lined up to prepare the team for the World Cup in Russia.

The Croatians are in the same World Cup group with Brazil’s South American rivals, Argentina, Nigeria and Iceland.

Liverpool have announced they have agreed a club-record deal to sign Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk from Southampton. The club posted a picture of the Netherlands defender on their website holding a Liverpool jersey and saying that he will join the team when the transfer window reopens on Jan. 1.

According to ESPN FC pundit, and former Venezuela striker Alejandro Moreno, the player had signaled his desire to leave Germany last summer after handing in an official transfer request. Although he later rescinded his decision, he is believed to have made up his mind to leave this January.

Liverpool Football Club have reportedly ask Daniel Sturridge to leave the club in January when the transfer window opens. According to the Sun, Jurgen Klopp informed the player that he will be allowed to leave. His departure would relieve the club of his £125,000-per-week wages. He is currently being linked with a move to Valencia, Real Betis and West Ham. The forward who has failed to impress Jurgen Klopp and break into the starting eleven would have to leave the club in search of more playing time in order to make England's list for next year's FIFA World Cup.

Chelsea playmaker, Eden Hazard may have turned down a new contract offer worth 340, 000 Euros per week a deal that could have guaranteed the Belgian almost 18m Euros a year. According to Marca, the player has refused to sign the deal at least for now. The report claimed that Hazard's decision to delay the contract may not be unconnected with perceived interest from Spanish giant, Real Madrid.

Pogba who became the most expensive footballer in the world when he moved to Old Trafford from Juventus for £89.3m in 2016 explained that the 21-year-old Alli is worth more than that.
