Chelsea Football Club has today agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa in a €60m deal.
Costa refused to return to the champions' Cobham training base this season in the hope that Los Colochoneros could strike a deal to bring him back to Madrid.
The 28-year-old hasn’t played for 98 days when he featured for La Furia Roja in a World Cup qualifier against Macedonia in June.
The transfer which will be subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical will see Coasta return to Madrid and begin training with his new (and old) team-mates in preparation for his second debut in January.
