Slovenian club NK Olimpija Ljubljana have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Chinedu Udechukwu from Katsina United on a one-year loan deal. The 23-year-old according to a statement on Olympic Ljubljana’s official website has the chance of making his stay with the club permanent should he make a big impression during his one-year stay.
The forward was billed to undergo his medical examination on Wednesday according to the statement inked a contract with the club last month but could not travel to join his teammates due to the delay in the processing of his travelling documents.
He had his first training session with his teammates on Monday and has been allotted Jersey number 40.
Olimpija currently sit at the top of Slovenian League with 52 points from 22 games, four more than second-placed Maribor who still have a game in hand.
