Apple has been granted licence to test the next generation of wireless technology, 5G, specifically its millimetre wave networks. The approval has been offered by the US FCC for an experimental licence to test next-generation 5G broadband wireless in two locations near California. Back in May, Apple was reported to have applied to test millimetre wave technology.

Samsung Electronics is now the world’s largest maker of mobile phones, memory chips and most profitable tech firm, going by its record quarterly earnings released today, The figures show that the South Korean tech giant is on course to overtake Apple as the world’s most profitable tech.

The report said the Chinese project being carried in Jinan, uses quantum cryptography, which is a break from the traditional encryption methods.

Telecom Satellite TV (TSTV) has partnered with a Europe-based television station, ABS Global, to launch a Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite TV service in Nigeria. The newly launched pay TV satellite would cover all sub-Saharan African countries and would provide over 100 TV channels to their audience.
