An Abuja based Lawyer; Mr Pelumi Olajengbesi has written a letter to the Group Managing Director (GMD) of NNPC, Dr, Maikanti Baru, condemning the recent advertisement of the NNPC as “discriminatory recruitment process”

The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity Office of the Vice President, Laolu Akande has debunked the claims by critics of TraderMoni (a social investment programme of the Federal Government) that the scheme was introduced to buy votes during the general elections.

The Federal Government is set to increase Value Added Tax (VAT) between 35-50 percent to enable the government to pay the minimum wage. Minister for Budget and National Planning, Udo Udoma disclosed this on Tuesday through Babatunde Fowler, chairman First Inland Revenue Service.

Jumia Set To Be Listed on New York Stock Exchange

In a bid to go public, popular Nigerian online store, Jumia,  has filed an IPO, making it a step towards being listed in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Though the New York filing did not reveal details of the price of the shares and how many shares would be sold.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) All-Share Index (ASI) rose from 30,557.20 to close at 31,721.76 while market capitalization gained N434 billion, rising from N11.395 trillion to N11.829 trillion at the end of February which is a 3.8 percent increment compared with a decline in January.

Investors Set To Acquire Yola Electricity Distribution Company(YEDC)

Disclosure made by the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) on Monday, the 18th of March, 2019 revealed that a total of five bids has been received for the purchase of YEDC. And March 15, 2019, has  been set as deadline for the submission of technical and financial proposals for the acquisition of YEDC and Afam Electricity Generation Company (Afam Power Plc & Afam Three Fast Power Limited).
