Following developing reports that some female fans who attended the last concert organized in Enugu state by Nigerian hitmaker, Flavour were assaulted and raped, the Enugu state Police Command has called on all affected victims to file in their reports for necessary action. The Public Relation Officer for the Command, Ebere Amaraizu made the call in a statement issued on Wednesday.

He explained that the Force was yet to receive an official report of rape although the report had gone viral on the social media.

The statement read in part;

"The newspaper report (of the mass rape), which is based on a Twitter message in the social media, is unfounded and we cannot operate on speculations as a law enforcement agency. Till now, nobody has come forward to report any case of sexual assault or molestation and rape to the Command.

However, our doors in the Command, divisional headquarters, and stations over the state are open to anybody or group to make a report and we will take it up from there by doing further investigation. There is no reported case of rape (from the musical concert) anywhere in the Enugu State Police Command. We don’t have any incident arising from that event. Whoever that has any should come forward, and we will look at it.”

Recall that recently, a twitter user, @Naturize9 had claimed that several women were assaulted, molested and raped during the 'Favour of Africa' concert. Her tweet read;

"So, your favourite celebrity decided to give back to the community, made his concert free, but his fans (most) present at the Square, started to rape girls like it’s part of the script. They not only raped girls, but went in turns, protected the rapists from security agents and started to play with the victims’ undies! Please, someone, tell me this is Sodom & Gomorrah"
