Davido, Wizkid, Simi and Olamide have dominated this year’s Headies nomination list.
Davido is leading the pack with the highest number of nomination; 6 in all, while Wizkid, Simi, and Olamide, followed with 5 nominations each.
The music awards academy released this year’s nomination list on its Instagram page after shortlisting thousands of entries submitted in the year under review (from July 2016 – December 2017).
This is the 12th edition of the award and it covers 25 categories and 77 nominees.
New categories like The Viewer’s Choice Award, Best Performer category and a special category to recognise the efforts of brands that have supported the entertainment industry for the past 3 years have also been included in the categories.
