Controversial journalist and daughter of the former Governor of Oyo state, Kemi Olunloyo has berated Nigerian youths for spending their hard earned N30 weekly to vote for Big Brother Naija Housemates currently participating in the third edition of the popular television reality show.  Kemi who took to her Instagram page to share her thoughts said she does not see the need of the same youths complaining of unemployment and poverty wasting their money on a reality TV show.


He calculated the amount of money the organizers of the show make weekly from each contestant put up for eviction, claiming that it runs into millions of Naira. For instance, she said Anto who was recently evicted had about 11 million people who voted for her with 30 Naira which is total of 330M.


She noted that Nigerian youths were wasting their lives and fortune making other richer. Her post read;


"I've always said our #Nigerian youth are smart but NOT intelligent. Anto was voted off #BBNaija. ₦30/vote with 11million votes, they just paid the producers ₦330M and they are complaining of poverty, unemployment and hunger. Young ppl are throwing their lives away paying to vote on a reality show weekly. Will you pay to vote for a politician?"
