Officials of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have confirmed that the Commission arrested Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as ‘Mompha.’
In an exclusive chat with Dailytrust, EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren said Mompha was arrested by the top anti-graft agency in Abuja. He, however, did not give further details. He added that Mompha is in the custody of the Commission.
Mompha, a social media celeb is often referred to as the king of Nigerian Bureau De Change.
Unconfirmed reports disclosed that Mompha evaded arrest from the International Criminal Police Organization, also known as INTERPOL in Dubai by flying to Nigeria. The reports claimed that he helped an unnamed fraudster to launder about $5million.
