The Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa is currently at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for the allegation of misappropriation of public funds.
The accused who is also a henchman of the ex Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, arrived at the Commission's office at about 10:00 am this morning where he is undergoing questioning.
Obasa was operating over 64 bank accounts with different names where he changed his name and date of birth for the purpose of siphoning public funds.
Also allegations of how he (Obasa) awarded contracts to himself using different companies owned by him and how he got the Assembly to approve the sum of two hundred and fifty-eight million naira (N258 million) for the printing of invitation cards for the inauguration of lawmakers two months after the said event.
