The leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Thursday suspended its three-month strike after reaching an agreement with representatives of the Federal Government led by the Minister of Labour and Employee, Dr. Chris Ngige.
ASUU Suspends Strike, Direct Lecturers To Resume Duty
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has finally suspended the long lingering industrial action which commenced since November last year. The Union has directed lecturers to immediately resume duty on 12th February.
ASUU Still Consulting, Set To Meet FG This Week
The leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, says the leadership of the union is still consulting its members on the Federal Government’s offer. The Federal Government says it will meet with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Thursday in continuation of efforts to resolve the ongoing strike by the lecturers.
