President Mohammadu Buhari says the challenges of crises ravaging the country have its roots tie to ignorance. Buhari made this statement while speaking during the 8th convocation ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), held on Saturday in Abuja; Buhari reassured Nigerians of renewed commitment of his administration to providing Nigerians with affordable education for the youth.

The Federal Government in a bid to improve the education system on Wednesday ratified the Safe School Declaration, Daily Trust reports. Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education made the disclosure while addressing state house correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Former President of Nigerian, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has described the present state of education in the country as confusing. Obasanjo made the statement during the 2019 Global Education and Skills Forum (GESF) held at Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Saturday.

Eight (8) year-old Nigerian boy whose family allegedly fled Nigeria to seek alyssum in the United States has become a child-chess star in States. Findings revealed that Tanitoluwa Adewunmi parents sought asylum in 2018 after arriving in New York City and have since, been living in a shelter.
