NBAIS Released June/July, 2019 Examination Result

According to the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS), it has released the 2019 June/July Senior Arabic and Islamic School Certificate Examinations (SAISSC) results with 28,645 passes out of the total 36,141 students who sat for the examination.

 

Prof. Mohammed Abdulahi, the acting registrar of the board, made this known on Tuesday, 8th October 2019 at a press briefing held in Kaduna.

He noted that the institution uses integrated syllabus including Arabic, English language and mathematics.

According to the registrar, 36,141 candidates sat for June /July SAISSC examination nationwide out of which 28,645 candidates passed while 7, 496 failed some papers.

He added that the board will take its advocacy to sensitize some institutions to clear the assertion that graduates from Arabic and Islamic institutions cannot study pure science-related courses.

He assured that the board is an examination body same as the National Examination Council (NECO) and West African Examination Council (WAEC) not restricted to Arabic and Islamic subjects.

We are on advocacy and we shall continue to enlighten our people by providing our higher institutions of learning with qualified candidates who can compete at different levels.

Speaking on examination malpractice, the Prof. stated that the board has taken the issue with seriousness and has not recorded any serious examination malpractice in this years' examination from either candidate, teachers/invigilators or school authorities.
