The Executive Secretary of the National University Commission, NUC, Professor Abubakar Abdulrasheed, has quit office as the NUC boss after tendering his resignation latter. The NUC boss made his decision known today at the commission headquarters after he just approved the license for the kogi state University, Kabba, Kogi state.
Although, he did not give reason for his resignation, but there are speculations that he might have seen handwriting on the wall from the new administration after hundreds of board and parastatals were sacked last week by the President Tinubu administration.
Professor Abdulrasheed described the new Kogi state University as his last baby, having granted similar approval to many universities in Nigeria in the last seven years of his stewardship at the academic commission.
