FG Renames Federal University Of Ebonyi, Alex Ekwueme University

As part of efforts toward immortalizing late Dr. Alex Ekwueme, the Federal Government on Friday renamed the Federal University, Ndufu-Ikwo Ebonyi to Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ebonyi State. The change was announced by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo during the burial service of the late patriarch at the St John, The Divine Church, Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

He stated that the move was in honour of Ekwueme's contribution to nation building.
