Bandits Kill Commissioner’s Son, Others In Zamfara

Armed bandits on Sunday night, invaded and killed many people in Tsafe town, Zamfara state. According to residents, the bandits who stormed the area, which is the headquarters of Tsafe Local Government Area of the state about 9.30 pm, murdered the son of the state’s commissioner for security affairs and a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Mamman Tsafe.

Consistent Onslaught On Kaduna State: El-Rufa’i Vow To Hire Foreign Mercenaries

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufa’i has disclosed that he is considering hiring foreign mercenaries to fight terrorists in Kaduna state that have continued unabated, failure by the federal government to take a drastic measure. El-Rufa’i made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen shortly after he went to the state House to brief President Buhari on the incident of Kaduna bound train attack by the Fulani militia four days ago. The Governor said, he has sworn an oath to protect Kaduna state citizens' lives and properties when he took over the leadership, and therefore he will go to any length to do that.

Invasion Of Abuja By Bandits: CP Urge Citizen To Disregard Rumour

The Commissioner of Police (CP) in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Babaji Sunday, has today called on Abuja residents to disregard the rumor being peddled by mischief makers that new bandits have invaded Abuja to unleash mayhem. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, stated this in a statement in Abuja today. She said that call followed a misleading report made around in some section of the media that some number of hoodlums invaded and raided a pipeline extension area in kubwa and snatched belonging from residents of the area, which does not translate into banditry.

FG Approves Procurement Of Lie Detector, Night Vision Equipment For NDLEA

The Federal Government (FG) has approved the procurement of lie detector equipment and digital night vision goggles worth N1Bn to enhance the operational performance of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). This was disclosed to State House correspondents on Wednesday by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami at the end of the virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
