Buhari Appoints Adeyanju As Commissioner For ICPC

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed AIG Olugbenga Adeyanju (rtd) and Dr as a Commissioner of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). In a letter to the Senate, the president requested the confirmation of Adeyanju in line with parliamentary procedures. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Babajide Omoworare disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the sections of the constitution require that the appointment conforms with the ICPC Act.

Police Headquarters Appoints New Spokesman

The Nigeria Police Force Headquarters has on Saturday appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Olumuyiwa Adejobi as the new Public Relations Officer. He takes over from Frank Mba who has been nominated for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos. According to an official statement from Force Headquarters, Mr. Adejobi, whose appointment takes immediate effect, will serve as substantive FPRO.

More Trouble For Abba Kyari As NDLEA Declared Him Wanted

The erstwhile super corps Abba Kyari, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) has today been declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in connection with his involvement in the drug business. The declaration was made known today by Femi Babafemi, the spokesperson of the agency when he conducted a brief press conference at its Headquarters in Abuja.

Following the Saturday Area Council election in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command has relaxed the earlier announced restriction of movement in Abuja that was expected to commence from 12 am to 4 pm on 12th February 2022 to ensure the safety of lives and properties during the election.
