The Nigerian Army said its troops, in a joint operation with other security agencies have dismantled a stronghold of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN), located in Lilu forest, in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Bandits Demand N24 Million Levies On Nine Communities In Zamfara

Terrorists have slammed N24 million levies on nine communities in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State and demanded prompt payment or face assaults. The levied communities include Gaude, Tungar Gebe, Wawan Iccen Ibrahim, Wawan Iccen Salihu, Galle, Nannarki, Ruwan Kura, Gangara and Yargalma. Findings gathered that the affected communities have started mobilising to pay the bandits, even as locals said letters to that effect have since reached the affected communities through kidnap victims who regained freedom.

Nnamdi Kanu Engages Senior Lawyer, Mike Ozekhome Amidst Fresh Terrorism Charges

Leader of the proscribe Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has engaged a popular constitutional lawyer and human rights activist, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), as the lead counsel representing him. This is coming as the federal government has filed a fresh charge bordering on alleged terrorism against Kanu. The development was confirmed by the former lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor to reporters Tuesday morning at the federal high court where Kanu is expected to be arraigned today for continuation of his trial.

Aregbesola Orders Correction Officers To Shoot Prison Attackers On Sight
