Former Governor of Kano State, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso has debunked media reports that he is perfecting plans to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and return to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The former Presidential aspirants of the PDP made the clarification on Monday via his verified Twitter handle.

He described the report of his planned defection as fake new, intended to deceive his followers. He reiterated his membership and support for the PDP.


His tweet read
“A fake news is being circulated on the social media that I am leaving the PDP. I wish to debunk these lies and once again state that I am still a member of the PDP and have no intention of leaving my party the PDP; not now and certainly not anytime in the future. Power to the People”


Reports of his defection went viral on Monday. The report had claimed that the former Governor was not happy with the Presidential candidate of the PDP over his decision not to make him the campaign Director for North-West. The report further said his request of N1bn to enable him prosecute the election in Kano had not been given the desired attention despite several reminders.
